5 Motivational Tips to stay fit in winter

Outside it’s dark and grey.. and ice cold. Working out in winter is much harder than in summer but let’s be honest: summer bodies are made in winter! And fitness is the best way to beat the winter blues. Today I have 5 tips for you how to get motivated to work out during the winter months. Let’s do this, girls! Together 🙂

1. No excuses!

In winter, we find a lot more excuses for not working out. But that’s over now! It’s snowing outside and you can’t go to the gym? Fine, roll out your mat and do a small workout in your living room. Do a YouTube yoga class or a HIIT workout session. No excuses!

2. New clothes = motivation

It’s sometimes a little strange how women think but I think I can speak for all of us here when I say that beautiful new sportswear is the best motivation ever. At least that’s how I feel all the time! My favorite pieces at the moment are the ones I’m wearing in the photos, they are from the new HKMX collection of Hunkemöller. I love the shape and materials of the pieces. The HKMX The All Stars sports bra provides a great hold and fits perfectly. I really like that it’s a real bra and not a normal sports bustier. The black pants have a high waisted cut, which I particularly like. They also have an elastic waistband for the perfect fit. Very comfy!

3. Put on your sports clothes immediately after getting up

This trick will motivate you to squeeze in a little workout or even a run before your morning shower. Honestly, girls, everyone of us has at least 25 minutes in the morning. And if not: let’s make a little time for morning workouts and get up a little bit earlier. Small effort, huge effect.

4. Write down on how you feel after the workout

Grab a paper and write down how you feel immediately after your workout. I feel like a new person every single time. I’m proud that I overcame my inner couch potato and I feel food that I did something for my body and soul. Hang the little note on a spot where you can see it often: for example at your desk, in the bathroom or on your fridge.

5. Set goals for spring and summer

In order to stay motivated, you definitely need some goals you can work towards. This could look like this: I want to get in shape for summer holidays, I want a flat stomach, I want defined arms or maybe: I want to run a half marathon etc. I have set myself the goal of getting a regularity into my workout routine and also to try new sports such as boxing, cross fit, pilates etc.

What are your goals? Do you have any other motivational tips? 🙂 You can get the beautiful pieces from the HKMX collection of Hunkemöller on hunkemöller.de
