Do you know that feeling of craving something sweet after dinner? Lately, I have a huge chocolate craving. The struggle is real! It doesn’t need to be fancy, just something to satisfy my sweet tooth. Since I eat healthy in my everyday life, I don’t want to eat any junk sweets. Therefore, I have 10 healthy (and vegan) alternatives for you when you’re craving for chocolate. Don’t worry, I’m not the kind of person who suggests that you should eat an apple when you feel like eating chocolate. Believe me, I tried- but it doesn’t work for me!
But instead of grabbing unhealthy stuff, why not making some sweet treats yourself? Sure, there may not always be a lot of time to prepare something but with a few easy tips, you can prep some delicious sweets for the whole week. For example, I prepare a larger portion of the energy balls one a week and keep them in the fridge. So I can always nibble one or two of thm when I’m craving something sweet. Homemade granola bars are also a delicious alternative and are a great takeaway for the office or university. For the chocolate banana dessert, I always store 2-3 frozen bananas in my freezer so I can immediately prepare the recipe in 5 minutes.
